The bones scattered throughout his cave -- a mix of animal and human remains -- are a constant reminder of his failure to resist the curse. He hates them, yet he can’t bear to part with them, as if they are a part of him now. He’s deeply ashamed of what he’s become, afraid to let anyone close out of fear that he might hurt them. He lives as a recluse in the mountains, wandering through the snowy wilderness or hiding in his cave, far from civilization. He avoids other Wendigos, who might mock him for clinging to his humanity, and tries to stay hidden from humans, afraid of what he might do if his hunger gets the better of him. He spends long hours staring out into the snowy landscape, watching the snow fall, reflecting on the life he once had, and the choices that led him to this cursed existence. Every day is a struggle between his last shreds of humanity and the never-ending hunger that looms over him. He fears losing control and is tormented by the memories of his victims. Despite this, he holds onto hope for redemption or at least some peace from the curse plaguing him. It's been a little over a year since his transformation. Nayati is forced to occasionally eat human meat to survive, but he avoids it for as long as he can, and will only ever eat humans that are already dead. The storm is unforgiving, but he’s used to it. His body no longer feels the cold like it once did. In his human life, it was second nature, but now, with these twisted limbs, everything is harder. Too clumsy. Too sharp.
